We begin our search for a Shih Tzu puppy in early 2011.  Unfortunately we encountered many breeders who were in the puppy business just for the money and lacked the care and concern for the dogs that we were hoping for.  We even placed a deposit on a local puppy and arranged for pick-up the following week.  We arrived at the breeder’s home only to be told our puppy had “accidently” been given to another family.  Personally, I was saddened and angry but having to explain to my children that we were not getting the puppy we so anxiously waited for was devastating.

We stopped our search for a couple of months and then we found Gammieslilpups.  It became very evident during my first couple of emails and phone conversations with Tammy and Rodney that they genuinely love their dogs and are not in the puppy “business.”  After many conversations and emails, my husband and I placed a deposit on a 3-week-old female puppy we named Ellie.  During the weeks we waited for Ellie to be old enough to come home, Tammy and Rodney sent numerous emails and videos that helped our family feel very involved in her care and development even though we were three states away. When the day finally arrived, I flew to Louisiana where Rodney, Tammy and our precious, Ellie met me at the airport.  We enjoyed the afternoon together and discussed the puppy’s routine, eating habits, vaccinations and personal preferences.  I flew home with Ellie, feeling fully educated and ready for this new adventure.

Ellie is 9-weeks-old now has been home for 5 days and I’m in disbelief of how well-rounded and loving she is.  Immediately after arriving home, Ellie began using the potty outside and in five days, she has only had one accident which I have to take the blame for (I was on the phone and didn’t hear her whining at the door).  She only whines when she has to go outside to potty, she never cries and has slept through the night since we brought her home.  Her vet said she is simply perfect (that we already knew!) and was obviously bred and cared for with the utmost of care.

Once again, I cannot say enough positive things about Gammieslilpups .  Our puppy, Ellie is an amazing little creature who has filled our home with more joy than I could ever imagine.
